1940s Bacall Blazer - Red
A fabulous new addition to our 1940s collection - the 'Bacall Blazer' is our long awaited staple 1940s jacket which has been created to complete any 1940s capsule wardrobes. Based on a vintage original, this jacket has been carefully crafted to create a classical 1940s silhouette with its super strong shoulders and tailored 8 panel body.
This stunning jacket is perfect for fans of the 1940s silhouette and packed with vintage details - with its double padded shoulders, curved peak lapel revere, 8 panel pattern and three covered buttons. This jacket was heavily influenced by an original and was deliberately designed to get the best fit out of the least amount of fabric (as per utility guidelines at the time). Hence the 8 panels and two piece sleeve.
Jacket is tailored to fit nicely on the waist to give a slimming and elegant silhouette - we've included a double shoulder pad to really enhance that iconic 1940s silhouette. The two piece sleeve is a particular favourite of the designer and gives an comfortable feel and fit.
This exquisite jacket is a piece of tailoring that will partner perfectly with all your 1940s styles. Whilst is will go perfectly with all red twill styles (ie. red swing pants and 1940s Rosie trousers), it will pair beautifully with dresses and contrast skirts too.
Jacket is made from our mixed fibre twill fabric and is fully lined in viscose satin.
